What TallyUp is
TallyUp is booking software: a public booking page and an operator console for your business. We provide the software; the relationship with your customers, including the bookings themselves, refunds and how you treat their data, is yours.
Your account
Keep your login secure and your details accurate. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for making sure your team uses it lawfully. You must have the right to run the business you register.
Fair use
Do not use TallyUp to send spam, to harvest data, to misrepresent availability, or for anything unlawful. AI features are rate-limited; attempting to abuse them, or the booking APIs, can lead to throttling or suspension. We act reasonably and will always talk to you first where we can.
Pricing and the founders' preview
During the founders’ preview the service is free. Published founding prices are the prices you will pay when billing begins; we will give at least 30 days’ notice before any charge, and you can export your data and leave at any time without a fee.
Payments between you and your customers
Where you connect Stripe, payments and deposits flow through your own Stripe account under Stripe’s terms. TallyUpnever holds your customers’ money.
Your subscription
New accounts start with a free month. We ask for a card before it begins, so the studio keeps running when the month ends; nothing is charged during it. After the free month we charge the plan price shown when you signed up, monthly in advance, to that card. Your price does not change because we change our published prices: if we ever change what YOU pay, we will tell you at least 30 days beforehand and you can cancel before it applies. Where a promotional code applies, what it takes off and for how long is shown before you enter a card and appears on your invoices.
Cancelling, and what happens to your data
You can cancel at any time from your console, without asking us. Cancelling stops the next payment; it does not refund the month you are in, and you keep the service until the end of it. We do not charge a cancellation fee and there is no minimum term. Your data stays available to export while your account is open, and if you leave you can ask us for it. If a payment fails we will retry it and tell you; we will not close your account without warning you first.
Card processing charges
When a customer pays you by card through TallyUp, two charges come out of that payment before it reaches you: Stripe’s own processing fee, currently 1.5% + 20p for UK cards under your agreement with Stripe, and a TallyUp fee of 0.5% of the payment. Both are deducted from the payment itself; neither is billed to you separately and neither is added to what your customer pays. Bookings you take in person, by bank transfer or by any means outside TallyUpcarry no charge from us at all. We will give at least 30 days’ notice before changing our share, and your current rate is always shown in your console.
Service and liability
We work to keep TallyUp fast and available, but no software is perfect and the service is provided as is during the preview. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before a claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ending things
You can close your account whenever you like; we will help you export first if you ask. We can suspend or end accounts that break these terms, with notice where reasonable. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
